Hello,

More About ME

Embark on a remarkable journey with Cecilia Higareda, an individual on the Autism Spectrum who brings a unique perspective to dog training through Pawsitive K9 Training. Cecilia’s personal experiences with dogs have shaped her understanding of patience, communication, and the powerful bond between humans and their canine companions.

Throughout her journey, Cecilia’s own canine companions have played an important role in her growth as a trainer. Sparky, her rescue Chihuahua mix, has taught her the importance of patience, understanding, and meeting each dog’s individual needs. Ace, her cream Goldendoodle and service dog, stands as a testament to the impact of thoughtful training and the life-changing partnership between a service dog and their handler.

Cecilia also began a special journey with Sweets, a young Goldendoodle who showed incredible promise as a future service dog prospect. During her training, Sweets demonstrated remarkable potential and helped Cecilia continue developing her skills as a trainer. Sadly, Sweets passed away unexpectedly at a young age due to medical complications before completing her service dog journey. Although her time was short, Sweets left a lasting impact on Cecilia and remains an important part of her story and passion for helping dogs reach their potential.

Cecilia has worked with a wide variety of breeds and mixes, including Labrador Retrievers, Goldendoodles, Poodles, German Shepherds, Boxers, Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinschers, Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers, Pomeranians, and rescue mixed breeds. This diverse experience has strengthened her understanding of canine behavior and the importance of creating individualized training approaches for each dog.

Beyond her personal journey, Cecilia continues to grow as a trainer through education, mentorship, and hands-on experience. She is passionate about helping dogs and their handlers build confidence, trust, and stronger partnerships through positive reinforcement training.

Join Cecilia on her journey with Pawsitive K9 Training, where every dog has the opportunity to learn, grow, and be valued for the unique companion they are.
